Good to have you.

I don't think there was any more weirdness than usual, other than the fact that you were absent, and that was REALLY strange, man!

There is a significant contingent jumping ship. Actually they're straddling allegiancies at this point. I've been recruited to haul my own sorry ass over there to join in the festivities. Must be a shortage of reprobates. Ready to sign up, robbie?

I think I'll stay aboard this leaky old boat for a while. I had a look at Deadhook and it just doesn't look like my sort of place at all. There's no reply hierarchy like you get here, so it's harder to follow a conversation. In fact, there don't seen to be any conversations there. There are too damn many daft pictures, smileys and signatures getting in the way of the words, which I find irksome. And it just seems too *nice* for my liking - I actually like a bit of grit now and then.

So how about you? You going to abandon SS Llama and head for sunnier shores?

Rob & Bryan you are both invited to come over and check out deadhook. same as you have been discussing 'them', they have been discussing 'you'. :)

yes...it's a very 'nice' place with smilies, and pictures and fun things to play with! but there are also really cool people there behind the colors and signatures. same way there are really cool people here behind the little screen names.

you don't have to come over. I understand if you'd rather not. I have no plans of leaving LMA for good, so I'll get to still send you both out hugs every now and then! :)

Gina your invitation is a very kind and generous one, but I'll respectfully decline it.

I guess I'm just more comfortable with the potential for anarchy here and the 'clean' look of the words only format. So I'll stay at home in the LMA - but it will always be nice to welcome visitors!

I turn and walk away then I come 'round again
It looks as though tomorrow I'll do pretty much the same.

I must turn down your offer but I'd like to ask a break
You know I'm ready to give everything for anything I take.

You hit the nails on head, Rob...just don't let Dancin know I agree with you.

I lurked here, signed up, and it was as easy as could be...though I have had help, etc., I still flounder about 'over there,' and most of all, miss the 'post-reply' dialogue you speak of...just as an example, I must have posted a dozen times there yesterday, and in essence, though I had a couple of direct comments, it was not transparent. As Bryan can attest, we dumb bastards need immediate reinforcement or we lose the thread. Not that I have to be listened to, or responded to each and every time, especially given what I have to say, but it proves your point.

I can be ignored in a much more straight forward fashion hereabouts.

Will - I shall choose not to ignore you, however 'straight forward' it might be to do so. I'm glad you'll be keeping a foot in this camp. At least it's only words that are cluttering things up here...

In which case, old friend, you'd best go and sort those milquetoasts out. I'll keep an eye on things here while you're gone.

What is this? A counter invasion? DHookers to the left of me, etc., etc.

Hmmm, just what we needed...multiple postings by the 'right' kind of people...I know, I know, how incorrect of me.

PM's make the rules, or so I have heard.

Yes, I recommend that you two take the plunge...Dancin is ready to hold your hands, and I for one, needed every bit of assistance she could muster.

However, this place is simplier, though not kinder and gentler, but I suppose that is what draws us here, in part, eh? The posting arena at Hook is just a bit too dense, so navigation takes more effort...

My cries for 68 rec'd about the same level of interest, so I am not sure I do any better wherever I sell my wares...And with most of us simultaneously posting at both sites it is clear to me that most cannot cut the cord and move lock, stock and barrel to Hook. My guess is it will serve as a diversion in times of Spam2tacking hereabouts, which is a good thing.

Sign up--it's easy; just be sure to keep your identity so I know who to tag with the convenient little "add to ignore list."

See? Now that I can expend my love and kindness there, I can devote myself to trouble making asshole here...Yin and Yang.

reading "huntr"'s post(#4) in this thread...

might make navigation a little simpler

Thanks, User--found that the other day. Suppose that's the issue at one level: I have to think about it, which is too hard for me when the subject is nothing in particular, much less if it's technology tips for twits like me (that dearly need them).

There's the rub. As you were charitable enough to point out yesterday, I'm a bastard of the stoopid variety, and all that Byzantine computer protocol induces seizures. But I'm getting a refill on my prescription later today, so maybe I can handle it.
